Tole bolj paše v “Note in Reader” kanal, ampak domnevam da tistega nihče ne bere in dajem sem, ker je vredno branja v celoti.

If parents told their kids the truth about sex and drugs, it would be: the reason you should avoid these things is that you have lousy judgement. People with twice your experience still get burned by them. But this may be one of those cases where the truth wouldn’t be convincing, because one of the symptoms of bad judgement is believing you have good judgement.

It’s not surprising we’d have an inborn desire to love and protect helpless creatures, considering human offspring are so helpless for so long. Without the helplessness that makes kids cute, they’d be very annoying. They’d merely seem like incompetent adults. But there’s more to it than that. The reason our hypothetical jaded 10 year old bothers me so much is not just that he’d be annoying, but that he’d have cut off his prospects for growth so early. To be jaded you have to think you know how the world works, and any theory a 10 year old had about that would probably be a pretty narrow one.

This probably accounts for a lot of the spread of modern religions, and explains why their doctrines are a combination of the useful and the bizarre. The bizarre half is what makes the religion stick, and the useful half is the payload.

Torej, pridem z dopusta in 9 dni nisem bil na spletni strani Dnevnika, rad bi videl najpomembnejše novice. Ali pa sem imel veliko dela in 3 dni nisem spremljal dnevnika, kaj je novega v Sloveniji? Ali pa: danes sem že zjutraj gledal Dnevnik.si, nočem še enkrat videti istih novic. V službi: napisati moram poročilo o dogajanju na kapitalskih trgih v Aziji v mesecu aprilu… V vseh primerih gre za ročno brskanje skozi nepregledno količino člankov.

Rad bi torej dobil novice na določeno temo (ali z določeno ključno besedo), za določeno obdobje. Bistvo je v filtriranju najpomembnejših: če je obdobje en teden ali eno leto, želim 5 ali 10 glavnih novic za to obdobje. Google News in podobni iskalniki mi trenutno za daljše obdobje vrnejo popolnoma nepregledno količino novic. Trenutno to rešujem na precej blesav način: za daljša obdobja grem iskat po spletnih iskalnikih tedenskih ali mesečnih revij, ker vem, da so tam članki objavljani bolj poredko.

Zdaj pride tisti del objave, kjer se pretvarjam, da imam več kot dva spletno/tehnično orientirana bralca: je že kdo zasledil API za kako novičarsko stran, ki bi nudila dostop tudi do podatkih o branosti? Ker stvar bi se dala v tem primeru dokaj enostavno izvesti: iskanje po novicah, pri čemer bi pri vsakih novici dobil še podatek o številu branj (npr. vseh bralcev, registriranih bralcev, takih, ki so se na novici zadržali več kot 10 sekund, sploh krasno bi bilo: bralcev, ki so z menoj povezani v socialni mreži…). Rezultate bi enostavno sortiral po eni od teh številk, odrezal zgornjih 10 in to je to.

Google Reader je danes dodal feature¹ Share anything in je točno to, kar sem rabil. V svoj feed zdaj lahko poleg objav v blogih, ki jih že spremljaš v Readerju, zdaj z bookmarkletom enostavno dodajaš tudi spletne strani, na katere naletiš po drugih poteh. Poleg tega lahko vsem posharanim² objavam ali spletnim stranem dodaš še kratek komentar³.

Če kdo na tem blogu res še ne dobi dovolj o mojih interesih in branju, si tako lahko v reader doda še mojo Shared stran.

Van Diesel bi me moral dokončno odvrniti, ampak je “eminenca” Roger Ebert rekel 4.5 od 5, skupna ocena na Google Movie searchu pa je 4.1 od 5… in ker je na temo brokerjev in delnic, sem še malo pristranski, v pozitivno smer.

Ampak tako zanič filma pa že dolgo ne.
